Burslem History Club – Clarice Cliff

Born in Tunstall, Stoke on Trent Clarice Cliff is one of the most important pottery designers of the twentieth century & her work is some of the mosty sought after in auction houses throughout the world !. She attended Burslem School of Art worked and later owned Newport Pottery in Middleport which was situated just up the canal from Middleport Pottery a block of flats now stands on the footprint of her former pottery ( a wall plaque denotes this) PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY FOR THIS TALK IT WILL BE WELL ATTENDED DUE TO THE HUGE LOCAL INTEREST.
8.00pm start ( 7.00pm advised to get a seat & parking place) £3.00 p.o.t.d no bar. Tea or coffee wil be served afterwards, free parking on site.
